Partner Surveyors — Licensed PSM/PLS Outside Florida

Apex Surveying & Mapping is a Florida firm. Work outside Florida has to be signed and sealed by a surveyor licensed in that state — so we are looking for those surveyors rather than practising across state lines.

What the partnership is

Apex captures field data and manages the client. You hold the licence in your state, stay in responsible charge of the work you seal, and deliver it under your own professional judgement. How the two sides fit together — who is prime, who subcontracts, whether it is a teaming agreement or a joint venture — is agreed in writing for each project, before anything starts.

Apex performs survey work in Florida only. This page is about where that could extend, and it depends entirely on finding the right licensed professional in each state.

Who we are looking for

  • A current licence in good standing — PSM, PLS, RPLS, LSLS, PS or LS, depending on your state.
  • A firm that can hold the contract where required: a Certificate of Authorization, firm registration or equivalent, or a clear reason none is needed in your state.
  • A licensee who can be in genuine responsible charge of the work they seal.
  • Field capacity, or the office capacity to turn Apex-captured data into a sealed deliverable.
  • Professional liability cover, or a clear plan to carry it before a first project.

States we are looking for partners in

All of them. Apex does not practise in any of the states below — that is the point. Which of them Apex can work in next depends on which licensed surveyors come forward, which is why the form asks for your state first.

How a partner engagement works

  1. You tell us where you are licensed

The form takes a few minutes. State, licence type and number, what your firm can perform, and which working structures you would consider.

  2. We verify against the state board register

Licence and firm registration are checked against the public record before any conversation about a project.

  3. We agree the structure before a project exists

Who holds the contract, who is in responsible charge, who seals. This is settled in writing first, not improvised when a client is waiting.

  4. A project comes up, or it does not

We get in touch when work in your state matches what you do. Nothing here is a commitment to send you work, and nothing obliges you to take it.

Tell us about your firm

Everything marked optional can wait. We keep your details on file and get in touch when a project in your state matches.

Licensure

Licensing is state by state, and the firm-level credential is separate from the individual one. Both matter, so both are asked for.

How we would work together
Structures you are open to
Services your firm can perform
Deliverable formats you produce (Optional)
Insurance and compliance

All optional at this stage. We ask now only so we know what a later onboarding conversation would need to cover.

Small / diverse business certifications (Optional)
References and attachments

A signed and sealed sample survey tells us more than anything else on this page. A certificate of insurance or capability statement also helps. Up to 3 files, 4 MB each — PDF, JPG, PNG or TIFF.

Questions from surveyors

Can a Florida surveying firm perform a survey in another state?
Not on its Florida licence alone. Land surveying is licensed state by state, and a survey has to be signed and sealed by a surveyor licensed where the property sits, working in responsible charge of that work. That is exactly why this page exists: rather than practising across state lines, Apex works with surveyors who are licensed locally.
What does Apex bring to a partner surveyor?
The client relationship, project coordination, and field data capture — RTK GNSS, drone photogrammetry and LiDAR. The partner brings the licence, local jurisdictional knowledge, and the seal. What each side does on a given project is agreed before work starts, in writing.
Which states is Apex looking at?
Apex performs survey work in Florida today and in no other state. Every other US state is open, and the state you choose on the form is how we learn where a partnership is actually possible. There is no fixed shortlist.
Is this a franchise, a licensing arrangement, or a lead-buying scheme?
None of those. It is a professional arrangement agreed project by project — you as prime with Apex as subconsultant, Apex as prime with you as subconsultant, a teaming agreement, or a joint venture. The form asks which of those you are open to, because that is what decides whether a given project works at all.
How are commercial terms agreed?
Per project. Scope, schedule and fee are agreed in writing for each engagement. Nothing is published in advance and nothing on this page fixes a rate.
Is this a job posting?
No. There is no specific vacancy here and this is not an employment application. Submitting the form is an expression of interest — we keep the details on file and get in touch when a project in your state matches.
