What a survey actually costs is set by the work it takes: boundary research, fieldwork, recovering or establishing the applicable property corners, marking the accessible corners, and preparing a signed and sealed survey. On top of that, the number of parcels, the scope, the location, site access, vegetation, travel, and how much existing monumentation survives on the ground all move the number. Two properties on the same street can price differently — one with intact corner markers, one where every corner has to be re-established.

The Field Visit Is Not the Expensive Part

How Building Complexity Changes the Work

MEP density, not floor area, is what makes an as-built expensive. An empty shell and a data centre of identical size are not comparable jobs — which is exactly why a per-square-foot rate misleads.
